Nancy S.B. Ging, A.C.S.W., B.C.D., L.C.S.W., has been a pioneer as a holistic psychotherapist
and hypnotherapist in full time private practice in Hinsdale, IL since 1981. She also practices at Clarus Center (www.claruscenter.com) in Warrenville, IL.
She received a degree in Psychology from Michigan State University
before going on to graduate school in Boston. She was inspired by Martin Luther King, Jr. and became a social worker
and worked in NYC, Boston and Washington, D.C. before moving to Hinsdale with her young family in 1970. She returned
to graduate school and completed her M.S.W. at George Williams College, trained in Clinical hypnosis at the University of
Chicago in 1981 and received a post-graduate certificate from The Family Institute at Northwestern University in 1984 after
a two year program there. Since that time, she has studied and trained in a vast array of healing modalities including
some Shamanic, Earth-based approaches. Her passion is Interfaith Spirituality and enjoys working with people of all
traditions, including athiests. Nancy incorporates the energies of Mother Earth and the spaciousness of the Heavens
into her work.
During the past 15 years, she has been a guest teacher at many schools and agencies including the University of Chicago,
Northwestern University, U. of IL in Champaign-Urbana, U of Kansas, and most recently a keynote speaker at Wichita State University.
Trained originally
in psychodynamic "talk therapy" and other conventional clinical modalities, Nancy has woven the energy paradigm
and a wide variety of dimensions and techniques into her work which is all about helping people find peace and know their
own wholeness.
She is a full-spectrum therapist who does individual, marriage and family therapy, clinical and medical hypnosis,
guided imagery, body-centered psychotherapy, HeartMath, Energy Psychology, Energy Medicine, spiritual healing and also teaches
meditation. she leads corporate retreats called "A Day for Peace and Productivity at the Workplace".
Nancy is a mother
and grandmother, a teacher, consultant, poet, author (2001, Simplifying the Road to Wholeness), columnist and speaker.
